I have a 1995 3.8L. The battery and altenater are good,but the altenater is not charging. Any suggestions?

Check your battery cables.
How did you test the battery and alternator?

The battery cables were ok. The battery and altenater were tested at a parts store. This was a new altenater. I went back again,told them it wasn't charging,so they replaced it. The newest one works fine. It really makes me wonder about the testing device.

Don't buy fron Auto Zone. They gave me the wrong alternator three times, Before finding the coreect one. I now have a PA PERFORMANCE unit on my STANG>

I worked for Autozone while I was in school. Sometimes we'd get a defective one off the shelf, and it would cause the customer some grief.
This can happen with any product as everyone knows.
One of the problems with parts stores today is the lack of knowledgeable people working there. I happened to work at a store where most of us had a lot of experience and knowledge, but I saw other stores where this wasn't the case.
The advantage to the Autozone stuff is the lifetime warranty. This is especially good for guys like us who keep our cars for a long time.

check your cables cause their may be pinched or cut.
