Hey. My 99 GT seems to be having some trouble. As far as i know its stock except for what i put on which is a 2.5" off-road x-pipe and a SLP loudmouth cat-back kit. I've installed the eliminators for the O2 sensors so i dont get a cehck engine light. The problem is every now and then it seems to sound like its missing or not running on all cylinders. The RPMs drop under 1000 when at idle and it excellerates like crap sounding like its fighting for its life to stay running. It only does it every now and then. What could be the problem. Help me out. I have big plans to modify this summer but i want to get this taken care of first

Sounds like you've got a sensor problem, either the cam position sensor is fubar or maye the TPS.
One thing you should maybe try, reinstall the O2 sensors (if you can) and see if the problem goes away. Also, check the O2 eliminators and make sure they're plugged in and working properly.

thanks a friend of mine said to check the TPS but ive never heard of a cam sensor. would that be expensive to fix? i know a TPS goes for under $20 or around there. and ill check my eliminators to see if they are connected good. ill let ya know how it works out. thanks

Im had the same problem a few weeks ago.I never had it happen till I moved to Washington, from Florida. If its during cold starts it does it try the EGR valve thats what mine was.
