RETARDED TIMING

I just got my ZEX nitrous kit.  After buying every bolt on a guy can get I finally bought something other than the gears that I can actually tell is working!  Now I wanna go to a bigger shot of nitrous.  I've got the bigger fuel pump now I need a way to retard my timing.  As far as I know you can buy a timing adjuster or a programmer.  Has anyone bought the timing adjuster?  What programmer retards timing? SCT LIVEWIRE?  MM&FF has a project car named RED-HEADED STEPCHILD, and they put the ZEX nitrous kit on that but they say they had a switch chip burned?  What is that?  SOMEBODY PLEASE REPLY!!!  

I believe both DiabloSport and SCT have dual-program chips you can use. What year Mustang do you have? This is a very important piece of the puzzle.

My Stang is a 96'. So Diablo Sport is out. They have been saying their programmer for the 96-98 is coming soon for ages! Also is it a chip or a programmer?  

In talking to the guys down at UPR Products we were told you can either use a DiabloSport chip with a naturally aspirated tune and a nitrous tune, or an SCT XCalibrator 3 handheld tuner. Both will accomplish what you want for your set-up. Of course, with both products you will need to dyno tune your Mustang to make sure the tune-up is spot-on. You don't want a bad tune with a nitrous car. You will tear stuff up if everything's not perfect. Oh yeah, and make sure your injectors are good.
