I removed the egr valve and plugged the vacuum lines, installed a block off plate where the egr valve was.  Since I have unplugged the egr sensor from the egr valve, my check engine light has been on.  Can anybody help me, tell me what to do with the wiring that went to the sensor?

The egr valve is looking for a certain resistance. Since you don't have the plug there anymore, it's not getting a resistance. Try this...

That's what I used for the same problem on my stang.
