Hello all, I am new to the board but a long time reader of the mag. I have one question i hope can get answered, Home come the Ascmclaren ( some of the rarest mustangs) are not mentioned in any mustang mag. I haved checked mustang milestone mag which tracks all the rare mustangs and the car is not mentioned. I am the owner of a royal gold mclaren, one of 1,800 cars built. their numbers are fewer than the 7up or limited cars, and fewer thqn most stangs on a year to year basis. Can someone please answer that for me. thanks

Ya know, this is a good question, but I will take a stab at it. I think the ASC McLaren Mustangs get overlooked because not many people modify them. As Mustang enthusiasts, the majority of us are looking for ways to make our Mustangs faster. The majority of ASC McLaren owners are more into the collectability of their cars, not making them faster. I think that's why you don't see more mention of them. Plus, you hardly ever see one, even at larger Mustang shows. They've largely fell off the Mustang landscape, but do enjoy a cult following.
