I have had a 2002 mustang v-6 for six years now and I'm just now getting around to wanting to add more hp to it without breaking the bank. I do have a BBK cold air intake on it right now, but I want more. Any Ideas? Also, is the 02' v-6 a 2 valve or 3 valve? I appreciate any help you all can give me.

The V6 is a 2-valves per cylinder head, and there are performance versions of these heads available. Try looking up Super Six Motorsports. We just checked its Web site, and Super Six has plenty of go-fast ideas for V6 Mustangs. Good luck.

Thanks Michael for the information you gave. I will be checking it out real soon for some ideas. Is it possible to get 300hp out of a v-6 without breaking the bank? I'm really new to all of this so I like to ask as many questions as I can to be more informed and to actually do some things to my car. I love that car!!!

Getting 300hp out of a V6 without a power adder will be difficult. However, with a power adder, it's very much within the realm of possibility. Since you're working on a budget, and frankly, who isn't; nitrous may be your ticket to surpassing that number. However, make sure the tune is right so you don't hurt all those new components. Good luck.
