I have recently aquired this car. It is in fair condition overall. Previous owner has taken off nose pieace, and started to "ripp" the engine out. The stang came with evrything they have taken off. My question is wheather or not its worth putting back together or not? The car also has T-tops. Does anyone know how many of these were made? Is it really a GT350? The VIN# 1FABP28M2EF175917. Body-61B Inter.trim-PDG(D)?) Paint-9L MFG.03/84. Any info on this stang would be appreciated. thanks rob.

I have some limited information because I own a GT350 myself. I was told the full proof way to tell if its an original GT350 is the buck tag on the radiator mount (if yours is still intact with the front being removed). The word ANIV appears on the tag. The paint code 9L I believe is ford oxford white which is the correct color. The interior should have the halo headrests with sport seats red in color. I believe in total there were 5000 GT350's made in all the body types. The rarest is the 4cly turbo version. If you check NADA guide.com, there's a collector car value for the GT350 convertible that I believe is in the 8000-10000 range. I know personally it took me somewhere in the neighborhood of $12K-$15K to restore mine and that's not even bringing it back to the original condition. I used many non original parts and the motor is far from the original. Hopefully the info helps you make a decision. My car is actually in the July 2008 magazine in the back section with the readers rides.
