I recently purchased a '87 Mustang GT. Swap 5.0 except a BBK Off road H-Pipe, Flowmasters and Aluminum Radiator. I has a AOD Tranny w/ a stage 2 shift kit. The car came with a rebuilt T5, brake, clutch pedal assembly, bellhousing, '89 5 speed computer, etc. everything needed 4 the swap. Ive already swapped the pedals. Just dont know if I should tackle the whole tranny swap. Was wondering if any1 could tell me how difficult this whole change would be and if theres any tricks they know of to make it any easier. Also ive already installed the '89 Computer into my '87. It runs alright when cold but it wants to die or stay at 2k rpms when it gets warm. im guessing that has to do with the spped density system? Should i put the stock computer back in with the tranny swap or keep the '89 computer and upgrade to the mass air. Also the rear springs sag a little, just how hard are the rear springs to change, I have a stock pair or rear springs off a '02 GT. Id really appreciate all the help any1 can give. Thank You!

rear springs are easy to swap. Disconnect quad shocks, disconnect the main shocks, muscle the drums down with your foot, pry the stock springs outta there. Easier way to do it is to put a jack under the lower control arms at the axle housing, remove the bolt securing the control arm to the axle housing, and slowly lower the arm with the jack until the spring falls out. This way is simpler, but I'm just scared to death of moving the control arms around when the springs have tension in them. You can totally do it this way. I'm just a wuss.
Convert the car to mass air when you can.
