auto or manual? please help

i have a 2001 GT and have been modding it, i've pretty much finished the outside and now starting on the motor, it is all stock except for a cold air intake, off-road x-pipe and flowmaster mufflers and i first need to decide whether to keep tha aod in it and build it or do a manual swap, what would be the best to do? please give me some suggestions

Depends on your power goal and what type of driving you do....ex drag racing,autocross,or just cruising
