Hi Guys. Im planning a 331 stroker build for a future '61 to'64 Galaxie project and Im going to use a fuel injection setup on it to maximize power and mileage. My engine, injection, engine wiring harness and computer setup was pulled from a '91 H.O. Mustang. This will be a street car so I want a streetable RPM band. Looking for torque under 5K rpm. High speed/ high RPM horsepower is not a concern. Any recomendations on the heads (reworked stokers if possible), cam, intake, injectors, MAF, required computer mods etc are needed. I plan on running a beffed up AOD and 3.00:1 to 3.50:1 gears. Id love to get that 3700lb car rolling and make close to 365 lb/ft torque or more when I lay down my foot and get close to 17mpg's or more when i drive it light on the right foot. You think thats realistic? And incase you were wondering this will be my first experience with a stroker and also first with modifying fuel injection. Also what kind of life span do you think the engine would have being in a daily driver and not a racer. 100K plus would be awesome. Think thats possible too?
