maybe try a new air filter. maybe a cold air intake or a throttle body spacer and a new exhaust? are you driving around town or on the highway? when i am on the highway i try to keep it under 2000 rpms and i get close to 23 mpg with my 5.0. i also use 93 octane. i have found that the cheaper gas gets worse mileage and just costs more to run the cheap gas.

how many miles are on the car? you might think about a new muffler or cat. either one of them might be clogged and cause too much backpressure and causeing the bad mileage
