i used to hang with a buddy of mine a few years ago in his 5.0 'stang... and i have an opportunity to grab one up with fairly low milage, coupe, in decent condition etc...
will this likely be a huge money eating investment? i know i get a nostalgic feeling about the car, its black, tinted, stereo upgraded, and stock, i will be driving it in real life. perhaps tuning it up and turning it out as time and money allows in near future.
one thing it needs is a rear quarter window.
i found an original replacement part for 500 bucks, is there any suggestions for cheaper places?
im sure i could get it fixed cheaper but
original parts make more sense to me.

any insight is appreciated... im sure its as fun as i remember to drive a 5.0, but at that age, will it be in need of constant high dollar items?
thanks.

again, this car is stock, in good shape, and i do have a nostalgic draw to this car, i just dont want to take on a high demand high cash drawing money pit.
rear coupe window replacement and likelyhood of being eternally in repairs are my 2 real concerns.
thanks!

exactly how many miles? Fwiw, I bought a 42k mile 89LX recently. It's been my daily driver for about four months and I have not had to do any significant maintenance. These cars are pretty well built. If it wasn't really beat on or heavily modified, it should prove to be very reliable.

That said, you also asked about it being a "cash drawing money pit." That's all up to you. If you have the ability to leave well enough alone, it's a good investment. If you absolutely HAVE to tinker (like me) you're gonna spend a TON of money on it!

Good luck-

i have a 91 GT automatic that is 100% stock low miles 87,000.I have a spare 8.8 with newly installed 4.10 gears, new traction-lock,and ordered a UPR CAI for the car. Also picked up some used mac shorties. I have the chance to buy a set of ported and gasket matched E7 heads, that are on a HO roller motor with forged pistons for $300 BUT with unknown miles. Should I buy the motor and put e303 in it or put e303 in mine and use the money for roller rockers? Am new to Fords was a chevy man any help appreiated greatly.
