my 66 year old mom gave me her 88 LX all orig.2.3,I found that it could dust stock 5.0s and anything GM inc.vettes.Is this an unusual model stang? It now has over 400,000 miles,its still driven every day,but Im ready to drop in a V8.What do I need to know b4 doing this? At over 400,000 miles,its 2.3 + T5 can burn tires down to the rims! in first,second,&3rd gears.

BULL SH**! I had a '79 Mustang Turbo w/the 2.3 and did not come close to smoking a V8 Stang and for the record, certainly NOT a Corvette!

by vettes do you mean chevettes? and if it has that much power, why cant it burn the tires into 4th and 5th gears?

I believe him....I left a Nissan GT-R in the dust last night. Or maybe it was a Sentra??? Sentra, GT-R same thing.......LOL.
