I've asked this question before when I was still running my 88 speed density efi with some bolt ons. I since switched to mass air with a A9L & a piggy back FMS extender & had no more backfire/popping. I've since went with more heads/cam/intake & now running into the same popping/backfire noise on cold throttle loads. You hit the throttle & it momentarily popps/backfires & then takes off. It sounds like it's popping out the intake plenom. Has any one had this same symtom or is this a common problem with cooler temp operation. It seems to be gone on hot days. Any suggestion or opinion would be appreciated.

I've since solved my popp @ loads with a wide band o2 sensor. make sure your timing & fuel are correct.. THZX

im having this problem too and i thought it was just because my fox is so heavily modded i have the cobra fuel system kit it 24lb mass air o2 sensors and cobra computer which wideband did you get and did it instantly solve your problem and how does your extender work?
