You will probably have to start over from square one with this issue. If the push button starter has unique wiring, I would suggest finding a stock harness, and start over. It could be the regulator as well, have you checked that? Even on later Fox Mustangs, the alternator has an external regulator, and I have had to replace one of those on a previous Fox Mustang. Have you taken off the alternator and had it tested?

You can either troubleshoot your existing wiring, which is what I would do, and find out what is causing the problem. Then you can decide if you want to simply replace your existing wiring, or upgrade to a single wire alternator and wiring harness, which I believe is a 94-95 130amp unit. You can source PA Performance, or any number of 5.0&SF advertisers for that upgrade.

The new alternator will already have a regulator.
