i am trading my custom toyota for Rock crawling, for a 90 mustang it has all the bolt ons, intake full exhuast with elderbrock intake and throttle body, msd wires. it needs a aluminum radiator and electric fan. the registrations is 2 years out he wants to trade me staight across, the car is salvaged and he's asking 3,000 for it, i have 20+ in my toyota.  is it worth it? thanks casey

Obviously we like Mustangs over a rock-crawling Toyota, but we're a little biased, too. However, we're not a fan of people getting a raw deal. Investigate the car fully to make sure it is what it is. As for the radiator and fan, you can get a stock replacement or a Ford Racing radiator and a stock-style fan from several mail-order outlets. The salvage title throws up a red flag for me, but it wouldn't totally kill the deal. I would find out why it's a salvage title, how the car was fixed, and the current state of made repairs. Good luck.
