have a 89 5.0 just rebuilt motor.tried both firing orders H.O. & 5.0,set to tdc &rotor to #1 pos.on cap,cranks but no start.have fuel pressure & spark.does anyone have any ideas.thanks.

It might be a distributor issue in that you may need to re-stab it in the block. You may be a "tooth off," and you don't have enough timing.

If it is back firing also you might try using 351 firing order if you went up in cam size or it might be your modular on your distributor.
