i have a 1994 mustang with a 5.0 we have done quit a bit of work with the motor including the "E" ford racing cam flat top pistons, shaved the heads and block to "0" deck, cobra intake 30lb injectors and custom tune, the idle hangs at about 1500rpm then drops to about 800 then bounces between 800rpm and 1200rpm any ideas on what i can check to get this straightend out?

The 94-95 cars are funky about idling after a cam swap. However, make sure you don't have any vacuum leaks because I recently had the same issue, but after a second look I believe that was my car's issue. If you ahve a custom tune, you can set the car's idle through the tune. What you car may need is a higher idle RPM. Of course, you can also adjust the idle with the screw on the throttle body. Good luck.
