1988 GT HO - Weird badge on interior dash

Hi all,
First post so i figured I'd search through the forums first before posting this Q. I have a weird badge that I'm trying to find out if it was OEM or if it means something, "rare," in my car. I'm figuring it's just some badge the previous owner added. Also how rare was it to have the factory installed louvers in the rear.
P.S: where it says mustang II's rock.....
