I recently purchased a BBK Cold Air for my 06' GT. I choose the BBK at the advice of Brothers Performance who are here in town where I live. Anyway, they installed the CAI for me and I could swear I am running slower - more sluggish than I was with my stock intake. I have not had a tune done yet because BBK claims that their intakes are calibrated.? Brothers says it isn't possible that I've lost HP, but offered to let me bring my car in for a Dyno comparison which may be difficult for me because of my work schedule.
Anyway, any help / input would be appreciated. Please advise.
Thanks, Rick

Schedule a dyno session to get to the bottom of the problem. It'll be worth it, you shouldn't have lost power with the cold air kit.

Thanks for the advice Michael. I made it to Brothers and they Dyno-ed my car free of charge. I showed a 6 hp gain at the wheels. I have since purchased an SCT Tuner but had to program it as a K&N since SCT does not have a stock setting for the BBK yet. I still don't know if I choose the right Cold Air, but I was wrong about the power loss. Maybe it's just in a different RPM range now.
Also, since the CAI and Tuner is my only mod, would I gain anything from a Custom Tune at this point?
Thanks Again,
Rick
