Hello all,

Recently I've been having problems with the healights on my 91 GT.  Sometimes, when I press the headlight switch only the parking lights turn on.  I usually just pull the highbeam switch once and the headlights turn on.  However, last week that didn't work and I had to drive at night with only the parking lights.  I have checked the fuses and found nothing wrong with them.  I would appreciate any help.

I think 5.0 had a great article on that type thing a year or 2 ago.  I think it was entitled "Blinkie" or something like that.  They were changin out fog lights and talked about there being a circuit breaker in line with the headlights and how when you turned on the fogs, sometimes the heads would go out due to high momentary circuit load or something like that.  I'll bet your circuit breaker has fried out and needs replaced.  I don't know where its located, but surely someone on here knows.  Turns out mine had a fog about to go out.  Later it did fail.  Tempoprary fix, turn off the fog lights and the breaker resets automatically and lights come back on.  Yours didn't reset.

Thanks for the advise.  I searched through my old magazines and found the one you refered to.  It was June 2003 "Death to Blinky."  It turns out my headlight switch is a little burned.

there's probably still at TSB at Ford for this. Some aren't bad, some are worse, but if your stuff is REALLY burnt up you'll be replacing the switch and some of the wiring behind the dash.

WAYYYYYY back in the day I used to wire the fog lights separately to reduce the electrical current flowing through the headlight switch. Worked for me!
