replaced fuel injection on '86 Mustang 5.0 with a 650 Holley carburetor. will the in-tank stock fuel pump work by installing a fuel pressure gauge? i've been told, the pressure gauge will not sufficiently reduce the pressure to compensate for a carburetor. any help in this matter, greatly appreciated. thanks

to make it work right you'll need to drop the tank, pull the fuel pump and replace from the rubber hose that connects to the pump down with some hard(steel) line and some kind of filter to keep dirt and stuff out of the carb. you don't need to replace the whole sending unit, just from where the fuel pump connects(the small rubber hose) to the sending unit down. it's that easy.
