I recently bought a cheap 1987 2.3L mustang and I am able to get a 1983 5.0 F150 engine that needs to be rebuilt dirt cheap. I was wondering if this engine block would work for my mustang? If so how work would go into making it like a mustang 5.0.

it would work but its not a high output motor. you could build it up and get some nice gt-40p heads for a good deal and make it run good but its not a roller block so make sure you chose the right cam and lifter kit for what you want to drive it for.

Actually, the block is the same, but no roller cam, double row chain, or good heads.
