My 86 mustang hatchback has a bad 4cyl, but i have a great 200 inline 6 cyl out of a 1980 ford granada with very low miles, with a c4 trans, i know that some early fox bodies came with inline 6 so, will the front sump inline 6 i have go in my mustang with out oil pan problems. or will need to change the pan to make it fit. and what motor mounts will i need. thank u

the early fox mustangs did have the strait 6 in them because Ford ran out of the 2.8L V6 and had to put the 200 in as a replacement. The only problem with that is the whole front crossmember is different from the 2.3I4/2.8LV6/3.8LV6/302-5.0LV8's. So yes, you could put the inline 6 in but finding the crossmember could be difficult and the 200 I6 isn't really all that much better than the 2.3L strait 4. Go with another 4 banger or upgrade to the V8. It isn't that hard.
