Will 295/35/18 fit on a 01 GT in da rear

Whats up fellow Mustang Lovers? I was wondering if 295/35/18 will fit on the rear of a 01 mustang gt conv. I'm purchasing the ssr gt3's and i want to know if 295's will fit. Also I'm planning on lowering just about 1 1/4" do you think that will affect it? Thanx

I have an '01 GT that is lowered 2" and I have 315/35/17s on the back with no problems. You will have to remove the quad shocks but that takes only a couple minutes. You might have some wheel hop when doing a burnout and launching with sticky tires but aftermarket control arms with urethane bushings will cure that although they are not mandatory. I drove mine with the stock control arms for a long time with no problem.
