I came across a 1986 5.0 LX and bought it 1 yr ago.  I am trying little by little to restore and street rod it out, but I am increasingly finding it very hard to find parts performance or otherwise since everything you see out there, is for '87 and up 5.0.  I have thouhgt of cutting my losses and buying a newer 5.0 but every were I go I get compliments, and the question that always rises if I want to sell it.  It runs GREAT, but I want it to run PERFECT and look it also, any help will be apreciated!

Hiya,
It seems 86-88 are speed density instead of mass air like the 88/89-93 fox bodies.

But not to worry, the only things that aren't swappable are front clips 'cause 86 is a four-eyed stang. There are quite a few parts 86-93 that are the same.

Ebay and the mustang restoration sites still have quite a bit of parts for us.

I've got waaay too many bookmarks to list here, but here's a few that i've bought from....
