CAN SOMEONE ANSWER THIS QUESTION FOR ME? CAN I PUT A EDELBROCK PERFORMER RPM CARBORATED INTAKE ON A 1986 5.0 GT MUSTANG WITHOUT CHANGING THE HEADS? IF SO, WHAT DO I NEED TO DO? DO THEY MAKE A SPECIAL INTAKE FOR THIS MOTOR?

I have an 84 Mustang GT with a 91 5.0 H.O in it. I put the edlebrock Performerr 5.0 intake and a holly 600 on it. Works great. I havge no problem with throttle response and I get 16 mpg... Ohh yeah and I have a B303 cam in it. I am however going to go back to fuel injection for better performance and gas mileage. If your looking for a carburator and intake. Your on the right track. Just read the chiltons on the 84 mustang Gt and you can see how to hook everything up properly. It's easy.

its been dyno proven that getting bigger injectors before you actually need them can actually rob you of a couple ponies. wait until you get some aftermarket heads
