I have plans to swap my 4.6 and install a 5.4 into my 99 Mustang. I saw that there are the 4.6 Intake adapter plates in this months issue but I have no clue if the transmission mounts and Exhaust mounts are the same between the two. If someone could let me know that would be great. Thanks

So nobody has any info on this swap? I also want to do this conversion with a 5.4 2V hopefully within a year on a 2001 GT. Anyone done this swap, what are the hurdles/required parts to make it work?  

You will more than likely have to have a custom exhaust farbricated or at least modify you existing one. As far as the Tranny mounts you may have to move them back a little bit but from what i understand it isn't that hard to do. I have been looking into this swap for quite some time now and am just waiting for the $ to do it with. Although mine is going to  be a little more laybor and part intensive going from a V6.

there is a lot of good information on this web site I found. If you arnt able to find what you are looking for here try asking. There are a lot of people there that are doing the 4.6 to 5.4 swap  

Does anyone know if the front cover is the same, and if its not, how easily do the accessories from the 4.6 bolt to it?
